Merry Christmas!

I haven't so much loved the holiday season this year. I have kind of been a scrooge. I didn't put up my tree and only bought a very few gifts this year so I think that kind of put a damper on things. Today however makes me feel happy, I am at work and get to spread the christmas joy to my patient. Also there is a patient receiving a heart transplant this morning and how great a christmas present is that. It does make me feel very greatful to be a nurse and to be able to help make children who have to spend christmas in the hospital a little happier. I will go home with a happy heart this christmas morning even though it won't be so christmasy at home.
Merry Christmas to all and have a Happy New Year!

Another year??

Today is my birthday, well for at least 20 more minutes. I want to thank everyone for making my weekend definitely one to celebrate. I started off the weekend with stamp club and it was so much fun. Then off to a christmas party for work which I also got to spend with all my friends and even Sam was able to come. Today didn't start off so well but I won't delve because it ended fantastic. I got to have brunch with the girls at Market Street Grill and it was delish, got to hang out with Sam and his idea was to watch a movie together and can I tell you much more fun than the idea I had of putting up christmas decorations, and ended the day with dinner at India House with Sam, my mom and sister who drove up from Helper. Thank you to everyone that made my day so special.

Now in trying to be a good friend, I was tagged a while ago by Jamie. So here is my forth pic from my fourth file

Great! It was a good one. This is our nephew Jaxson at Sam's family reunion a couple of years ago. And I'm gonnna only be half a sport because I'm not tagging anyone.

I did also mention that I had stamp club so here are the projects we did:
A picture frame, another $1 find. In the bottom corner I used a little Decor Elements flower and the pics are from convention this year

A Christmas card using Winter Post stamp set from the Winter Mini Catalog and the Riding Hood Red/Very Vanilla Grosgrain ribbon also from the mini

A Christmas tag using Winter Post stamp set, the new Rope Twine from the mini and the Vanilla Hodgepodge hardware that goes with the label punch. I cut the tag itself from the Big Shot
Happy Holidays!!

Happy November

Since it is now past Halloween I thought I would post some Halloween projects
This one is a card from Convention that I demonstrated at stamp club.

These were part of a cute bouquet that I made in a vase with purple and orange jelly beans as the "water". My husband ate them all before I realized that I hadn't gotten a photo of the entire thing. It was cute I swear.

This is a tin bucket I got from target several months ago for $1 a piece. We covered them and made them into treat tins. You will probably be seeing these tins again near christmas time, I couldn't help myself and bought way too many of them. Oh well for $1 each who cares. They will definitely make cute neighbor gifts.

I'm such a slacker!

I can't believe I haven't posted for what a month and a half. Part of that is I have not had to do stamp club for two months and my creativity did not come out either. The other part is I went on vacation with Sam for 5 days so he could go camping. Oh how a laptop would have come in handy. We went to his grandparents farm and other than going to an Indian Pow-Wow I sat on the couch, watched 4 channels on the tv, and crocheted. So I did get a lot of things crocheted that was an accomplishment. I did however take my scrapbooking and forgot the most important thing, MY CUTTER! I was destined not to be crafty. And finally the other part is I had three friends have babies. Congratulations Briana, Mandy, and Jami. They are all darling babies even though I have not had the chance to meet Evelynn, Mandy's little girl her pictures are adorable. I had to go and get sick so I couldn't get close to Zander, Briana's son but I did get to see him. Anna, Jami's little girl let me snuggle with her for almost an hour in the NICU. Hopefully she gets to come home soon, keep eating Anna!
Anyway, I have stamp club coming up so I will post my projects. Everyone pray for my creative juices to flow!

A little game of memory!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

convention update!

ok can I just say, I LOVE THE NEW CATALOG!!! Now with that out of the way, I am so excited about all the announcements that have been going on. Stampin' Up going to have sizzix stuff, how cool is that. It gives us a little more to work with and can I say I am glad I haven't purchased one yet. All of their exclusive die cuts are to "die" for.

I haven't won any prizes yet but I am still having fun. I will post my swaps in a few days, I don't have time to mess with that right now.

Now, time to make a few last minute swaps for tomorrow.

Stampin' Up Convention!!!

Yeah! This week I am off to convention. Well not really "off" since I live in Utah and it is held at the convention center in salt lake. I don't even have to take off any work which makes my week quite long. I have been working the past few days on swaps. I broke out the new "in colors" and stamp sets.
I will start with the one I don't love.

The way to KNOW LIFE is to LOVE many things
-van gogh
this is the quote at the bottom of the card that is hard to read
stamps: Always and Dreams du Jour
ink: Close to Cocoa, Pink Pirouette, Tangerine Tango
paper: same as ink and confetti cream
also used cream taffeta ribbon.

And the one I love
"Kindness comes in many forms but always from the heart"
is the quote
stamps: Fabulous Flowers, Heard from the Heart, and Sanded background
ink: Baja Breeze, Bravo Burgundy, Not Quite Navy
paper: same as ink and whisper white, vellum paper
also used bravo burgundy and not quite navy ribbon and silver eyelets.
I am getting excited for convention. Kamille and I are going and we will be meeting so of the girls from our group. I will hopefully post lots of pictures when it is over. But for now, I have to work the next three days.

Scrapbook page from stamp club

summer scrapbook page
stamps: life's a breeze
ink: real red, yoyo yellow, green galore, tempting turquoise
paper: same as ink plus whisper white
My stamp club had some great ideas to my rather boring scrapbook page. They added the flip flops and life's a breeze stamp to the 4x6 sqare on the bottom left of the page, making it great for journaling and pics in the other squares.

More Stamp Club Projects

On Saturday I hosted stamp club at my house. I was a little disappointed at first, only 5 people came, but we ended up having a wonderful time. I thought the cards were cute but my scrapbook page was lacking. We have such a talented group that they all made their pages not lacking anything. I will have to use some of their ideas to spice mine up. Here are the cards, after my page looks a little better I will post that as well.

This is using unfroggetable (retiring set) stamp set, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue and Confetti Cream paper. Black ink on the frogs and "hoppy birthday" and Bashful Blue on the background of flowers that you can hardly see. I also used black gingham ribbon and celery organdy ribbon.

This is using fabulous flowers stamp set which I absolutely love. Purely pomegranite and soft sky (both retiring in colors), chocolate chip and whisper white paper. Purely pomegranite, soft sky and versa mark (on the chocolate chip paper. I stamped "dare to be fabulous" in soft sky, which you can barely see. And I used the chocolate chip ribbon that was offered in the winter mini but also in the theater ribbons originals pack. I love that ribbon.

Hope you like what you see both the cards are very simple but I turned out loving them.

Some Stamp Club Projects

So I am a little behind but here are a few projects I made for a stamp club in May. There is a Fathers Day card, a Just Because card, and a Photo Wallet that I cased. I thought they all turned out darling. Hope you think so as well.

I went to a girls night out and had so much fun. I actually, with the help of some friends, made some birthday cards. I thought they turned out cute. I just love getting together with friends to chat, stamp, and be merry.

finally

I have finally been able to get this thing up and going. Of coarse I don't really have time to do anything today but I will be back soon.
